Charlie was born, raised and educated in Boston, earning an Associate's degree in Medical Electronics from Franklin Institute of Boston in 1984 and a Bachelor's degree (Magna Cum Laude / Phi Delta Lambda Honor Society) in Business Administration from Eastern Nazarene College in 1995.

He is an avid wildlife photographer with an inexplicable passion for all things arctic, and has crossed the arctic circle 10 times so far. He has both Inuit and Inupiat Eskimos that he counts among his friends.

He is also a ham radio operator, holding the Extra Class call sign KS1C since 1982. He has talked with people in nearly every country in the world, as well as astronauts on the MIR Space Station – and he ‘ s still fluent in Morse Code at about 30 words per minute.

He married Jenifer (yes, with one ” N ” ) in 1979, making the best decision of his life!

Together they have raised two children, Rebecca and Greg, both of whom have flown the coop, much to their proud parent ‘ s delight!

Charlie and Jenifer now reside in Plymouth, deep in the woods of Black Cat Rd, where Charlie occasionally searches for the Great Horned Owls who taunt him at night, daring him to come find them the next day for a portrait.
